Jason Reeves releases new music video, “No Lies”, & new album, The Lovesick.

No Video Found!

Check out the brand new music video for the song “No Lies” from singer-songwriter Jason Reeves.

“No Lies” is a single off of Jason Reeves’ new album released August 16th titled The Lovesick and features frequent collaborator and friend, singer Colbie Caillat. The video features the two singers in separate scenes, with Jason sitting under a tree in an empty valley while Colbie appears on a beach, each writing letters to one another. The two ultimately collide on the same beach, where they exchange their letters and read them side by side, with the final frame focusing in on the duo’s matching foot tattoos.

Much like the rest of the songs on The Lovesick, “No Lies” combines folk-style guitars and Pop/Hip-Hop undertones. The Lovesick overall is much more pop and Hip-Hop influenced than his previous LP, The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache (And Other Frightening Tales...), which was much more folk-based. Adult-contemporary pop singer Colbie Caillat is just one of the big named collaborators featured on Jason Reeves’ new album. Platinum Hit judge and songwriter-to-the-stars Kara Dioguardi is featured on the song “No One Ever Taught Us”. Reeves has written songs for many of today’s biggest artists, including Caillat, Demi Lovato, and Katherine McPhee.

Many of music’s biggest stars are singing the praises of the up-in-coming Jason Reeves. Both Colbie Caillat and OneRepublic took to their official Twitter pages to congratulate the singer on his new album release. The multi-talented Reeves, who told our reporter Cristina Szewczyk that his dream collaboration would be with rap chameleon Nicki Minaj, recently made headlines for his cover of Minaj’s song “Moment 4 Life” in a special for Billboard.com.
