Check out the trailer for the upcoming Paramount Pictures/Spyglass Entertainment/MTV Films remake of the classic 1984 film, Footloose.

In an updated version of the original film that made actor Kevin Bacon a household name, newcomer Kenny Wormald takes on the role of Ren McCormack, who arrives to the city of Bomont following the passage of a no-public dancing law in light of a tragic accident at a party. Ren is then forced to adjust to life in a small town when he meets a rebellious Ariel Moore, played by Julianne Hough (singer, TV’s Dancing with the Stars). Along with the support of his classmates and Ariel, Ren takes on the no-public dancing law and fights for the right to dance. The film also stars Dennis Quaid (The Parent Trap, G.I. Joe) as Rev. Shaw Moore and Andie MacDowell (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Monte Carlo) as Vi Moore.

The Footloose remake is scheduled to hit theaters on October 14th, 2011. Will it have you dancing to theaters this fall?
