After just 5 months of the release of “Raymond v. Raymond” Usher is back with 7 new hits!! He released “Versus” his EP sequel to “Raymond v. Raymond” which contains 9 tracks. Two of the tracks are songs you’ve heard already; “There goes My Baby” off of “Raymond v. Raymond” and the remix of “Somebody to Love” featuring Justin Bieber. 

I have to say that it isn’t his best, for being known as the king of R&B! His fans know he has the talent to do much better. We just expect a lot more from someone who’s at the top of the male R&B dynasty.

Out of the nine tracks hands down “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” is my favorite. It’s definitely a club-dancing hit! It’s one of those songs that you blast in the car whether you’re with friends or alone; you can’t help but to move with the music!

I was disappointed with the track “Hot Tottie” featuring Jay-Z. The song just seems to stay at one level, and when you have two major artist you would expect much more! Jay-Z just doesn’t seem too into his verse. It’s one of those songs you listen to for about thirty seconds to a minute, and then skip to the next track! It was hard to listen to the entire song.

Then there’s his other track “Get In My Car”, where Usher raps for the first time! Definitely something different for this R&B artist, but I’m not sure that I like it? It’s a little too awkward for me; he should just stick with that beautiful smooth voice of his which girls go crazy for!

I did enjoy “Strangers”, I think it’s a song a lot of us can relate to and it will for sure have you belting out those lyrics loud and proud!
