Resident Evil: Afterlife

Resident Evil: Afterlife

Resident Evil:Afterlife had me at the edge of my seat the entire movie! I strongly suggest that everyone watches this not only in 3D but Imax! You feel as if you’re on a ride, the effects and action is right there in your face! If you don’t know the feeling of having a gun pointed to your face, (which I hope no one has) now you will after watching it in Imax 3D!

Alice (Milla Jovovich) is still seeking revenge on the umbrella corporation, who turned most of the Earth’s population into flesh-eating zombies by experimenting with viral weaponry. In the Resident Evil:Extinction Alice was cloned and now her clones and herself have some kind of super powers and come back to blow up the Umbrella Corporation and kill Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts), whose head of the corporation. When Alice and Wesker, who now have super powers that seem to be twice as strong as Alice’s, meet up face to face in an aircraft and he sticks a needle into her neck which causes her to be an ordinary human once again. The airplane crashes and Alice is able to walk away with just a few scratches.

She takes off in another plane and heads out to Arcadia, Alaska which she thought was a safe zone and sent her fellow survivors to. Once she arrives she manages to find only one of the survivors Claire (Ali Larter), but she’s lost all of her memory. Both Alice and Claire take off in the plane again and end up landing on top of a prison in Hollywood, and find a few more survivors. Now their survival group consists of a professional athlete named Luther (Boris Kodjoe), a snobby producer named Bennett (Kim Coates), and a suposively murderer, named Chris (Wentworth Miller). The prison is surrounded by thousands of zombies trying to get pass the prison gates, and there’s one gigantic zombie in particular who pounds at the gate with an axe. This is when the action begins.

Realizing that Arcadia is a boat not far from the prison, Alice and the other survivors go one hectic and thrilling journey to see if this place is really a virus-free area filled with more human survivors.

A lot of the action reminded me of matrix the movie. You know the slow motion, being able to watch each move and seeing bullets fly by but only that it’s in 3D now. In resident Evil you have Albert Wesker whose almost impossible to kill and he even wears dark shades (sun glasses) just like Agent Smith from matrix. I mean their voices are almost the same too! You think he’s killed off but he just seems to escape each time! It’s like Alice is Neo and Wesker is Agent Smith.

I don’t want to spoil the movie for everyone but overall it was awesome! Filled with lots of action and suspense, it will keep you interested and at the edge of your seat like it did to me!

There’s a reason that this film was made especially for the 3D effects, they want you to feel apart of the film and that’s exactly what it does!

Now go see it for yourself see what happens, all I can tell you that there will be another resident evil!
