Shin Megami Tensei is a series well known by name to. Persona 4 continues the simulation RPG style as in Persona 3 (review coming soon) while adding new features, and giving a more dark story.

Persona 4 introduces a new main character as he is sent to live with his uncle and his cousin after, a weird incident, requiring him to move for a year to Inaba. Once he finally starts settling down mysterious events starts happening. A mysterious folklore is spread around his school and states, “It seems if you stare at your Television set while its off at midnight you will see weird images as if someone was on TV.” Soon after you check it out this joke Folklore people begin to go missing and eventually die found brutally murdered. Eventually you “fall” into a wide screen TV and find out more about these crazy incidents. As someone is dragging people into the TV and by the next foggy night the person who was seen on TV will eventually be killed and found is any random place. As you progress the adventure you find your guide a moving, living, Teddy Bear ironically named “Teddy” helps you as you work to discover who is behind this murdering spree and the trick to how he does it, and why. Along to help you, are not only your teammates but also your other personality named Persona the only way to combat the Demons.

Persona 4 gives you the option on how to spend your days in a simulation gameplay. You choose which friend(s) you hang out, where you go, who you talk to and even eventually who might be your girlfriend. All the choices are yours. If all else fails you can spend your day to power up your character for the upcoming fights. Every choice affects how your game will progress starting with your Social Links which allows one to summon stronger Persona’s. Fighting remains the very similar in Persona 3 but with one big change. Persona 4 has you choose what days you go in the TV during your free day time, so better usage of time is needed in this game to complete Social links as well as character points. Your main character has the ability to create and summon many Persona’s while your supporting characters only have 1 persona, so choosing your team and Persona wisely can make or break the fight, as every enemy and even your characters have botha strength and weakness attribute which leads to critical attacks which can take away or give an extra attack turn. By attacking your opponents weakness and having them all stunned this creates an all out attack situation where all your teamates gang up and attack the stunned enemies.

Persona 4 easily lives up to the hype behind it and if any fan would of thought it wouldn’t be anywhere near as good as Persona 3/ Persona 3: FES should easily check out
this cult classic game that has tons of replay value, cut scenes and memorable characters.
