Hot off the heels of scoring a number one single, Cascada have burst back on to the scene with a new album... and it's going to surprise more than a few people.

The album opens with the current single "Evacuate The Dancefloor" which has been totally unavoidable in recent weeks. With it's Lady Gaga-esque production and slick pop/R&B groove, the single marks a totally new direction for the group. It has a big pop sound, and it's easy to see why it was picked as their comeback track. "Fever" is another track that continues the Gaga-ish sound, again with a chorus that jumps out and hits you.

One of the most surprising things about this album is the variety of sounds it offers. Take "Breathless", a pop/rock tune with an electro edge, that could easily have been a hit for Kelly Clarkson or Katy Perry. "Everytime I Hear Your Name" is a brilliant summery dance-pop tune with a huge hit chorus, a stand-out track that has 'radio hit' written all over it.

Of course, Cascada have not forgotten their roots, and the album comes with a generous helping of classic Cascada dance anthems. "Dangerous" and "Ready Or Not" are instantly catchy hands-up tracks with big trance riffs: up there with the likes of "Everytime We Touch" and "Miracle".

All in all, Evacuate The Dancefloor is a brilliant album - the perfect balance of catchy pop songs and infectious dance beats that should please their fanbase and most certainly appeal to new fans.
