A look into Trauma Team for Nintendo Wii

For those familiar with the Trauma Center titles, or even if you are new to the series, Trauma games are one of the most challenging and require steadfast hands, only playable on the Nintendo systems since its first release on the Nintendo DS. You are always put on the spot to save lives via surgery with steady and quick hands, nerves of steel and medical tools at your disposal. Step into the next installment of the Trauma Series is Trauma Team for the Nintendo Wii.

Go far beyond just slicing people up in surgery, as Trauma Team introduces 6 playable game modes (4 playable co-op) in the game that include:

*Diagnosis: By analyzing and questioning patients you try to pinpoint what is wrong with them, you also study charts and simple patient tests (a mode that really makes you study and think as you study charts to find any and all problems).

*First Response: As the, name suggests you are the first in line to make sure a patient can make it to the hospital for tests and surgery, so you must take precautions to protect and help whatever may be tossed your way.

*Surgery: If you have played previous Trauma Center games this will be the most familiar mode, as you complete tasks as quickly as possible to keep the patient alive.

*Orthopedics and Endoscopy: A close look at certain parts of your patients system, finding the right problem lets the surgeons know what they need to address in surgery and save patients lives.

Taking a look at Diagnosis mode, First Response Orthopedics and Endoscopy gives the series a whole new perception into the game, but the one that just makes this game go far above and beyond wanting to play is the Forensics mode. In this mode you must search out the truth of what happened when someone has passed and find clues, searching for everything to be able to solve the case (similar to detective games or even a certain Ace Attorney game)… We got a small taste of it and want to check out Forensics even more.

Once again this game steps out of the comfort mode you were so used to of just surgery and makes you step into many different paths and departments which act like one gigantic story, but keeps adding more outside distractions and patients and bringing you back right away. To help you, the story mode reminds you of a comic book action style, filled with voice acting throughout the game giving life to all characters inside and outside of the current modes. Take the scalpel (aka Wii mote) in your hand on May 18, 2010 and save lives in one of the most challenging missions of your life, only for the Nintendo Wii system. Trauma Team will be available for $49.99. This game isn’t for those with weak stomachs since it simulates what a doctor has to do and be glad you don’t.
