Anyone hoping that the adventures of Commander Sheperd would return after Mass Effect 3 shouldn't hold their breathes too long. Gamespot is reporting that Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble confirmed to the site that our space hero will be concluding his adventure with this final installment.

Even with that in mind, Bioware still plans to continue the franchise after their third installment. Everyone's guess is that it will be adapted into an MMO. I'd probably wait until Star Wars: The Old Republic is released before making those assumptions. If that game fails then I'm sure Bioware will stray away from any future MMOs. Either way, with this being Commander Sheperd's last adventure, all bets are off, and anything can happen. This will be one of the most epic RPGs of recent times.
